Hi! My name is Virginia and welcome to my shop Love Virginia Ruth.

I believe there is a desire in each of us to create. Sharing that which I make is sharing a part of myself. My desire to create is from my heart and is a reflection of my creator, myself, and that which I love (hence the name Love Virginia Ruth).

Two years ago my family decided to start making homemade presents for Christmas. For this past Christmas I decided to make my father handkerchiefs. I originally intended on making white ones (his standard) but I fell in love with the look of plaid and decided I had to use that instead. Well, he loved them! So…one thing led to another and here I am making handkerchiefs and pocket squares (along with anything else that suits my fancy).

I love the idea of something so practical as handkerchiefs still being full of character and beauty. As much as I love that which is simple and natural, I feel there needs to be something a little off, a little funky, to make it just right. I think it is important to infuse passion, excitement, and beauty in the everyday things of life. Make life more beautiful through simple things!
